Rivo is a plant-based heated stick line from British American Tobacco (BAT) engineered exclusively for the glo HILO and HILO Plus platform. Built around a reconstituted Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) substrate enriched with high-purity nicotine, glycerol and non-tobacco aromas, Rivo is positioned as the herbal counterpart to BAT’s tobacco-based Virto line for the same HILO devices. The range splits into two capsule-based sub-lines — Click (menthol and cooling-led) and Twist (fruit-forward, dual-note).

About Rivo
Rivo is British American Tobacco’s herbal, non-tobacco stick range for the glo HILO platform. Instead of a tobacco blend, every Rivo stick uses a reconstituted Rooibos sheet sourced from South Africa’s Western Cape, infused with high-purity nicotine, glycerol and non-tobacco flavours. Each stick is engineered around the shorter, thicker geometry that the HILO dual heating system — combined infrared and quartz — expects, and finishes with a sealed StickSeal plug that keeps the heating chamber clean between sessions. Manufactured in Poland for EU distribution.
Lineup
- Click (capsule) — menthol and cooling-led capsule sticks paired with a single fruit or floral note. Squeezing the in-filter capsule releases a flavour and cooling boost. Variants include Arctic Click (intense menthol cooling), Scarlet Click (red fruits with cooling menthol), Violet Click (berry and blueberry with cooling menthol), Green Click and Sunset Click.
- Twist (capsule) — same in-filter click capsule mechanism as the Click family, but built around layered, dual-note fruit profiles with only a subtle cooling touch. Current variants: Blossom Twist (cherry with creamy coconut), Sour Pink Twist (sweet-and-tangy raspberry with citrus) and Summer Twist (watermelon with cucumber).
Compatibility
Rivo sticks are compatible with the glo HILO and glo HILO Plus devices only. They are not compatible with the older glo HYPER family (HYPER, HYPER+, HYPER X2, HYPER PRO, HYPER AIR), IQOS on any platform, lil SOLID or Ploom — both because of the unique HILO-specific stick geometry and the dual infrared + quartz heating system Rivo is engineered for.
