About glo Hilo Amber
glo Hilo is the official manufacturer’s flagship next-generation heat-not-burn device, launched in June 2025 as the compact all-in-one anchor of the new HILO platform that succeeds the induction-heated HYPER family. TurboStart Technology — a dual quartz/resistive plus infrared heating system — brings a stick to readiness in roughly 5 seconds at 370 °C, among the fastest heat-up times in the heat-not-burn category. The body is a single-piece 76 g design, roughly half the weight of an IQOS ILUMA Prime, with a flush AMOLED EasyView display, a single side button and USB-C charging.
The Amber edition is one of seven gemstone-inspired colorways (Onyx, Coral, Emerald, Amethyst, Amber, Ruby, Sapphire) — the only orange-spectrum option in the lineup, brighter and more luminous than the deeper warm-red glo Hilo Ruby. All seven colorways share identical hardware, heating, session modes, battery life and stick compatibility — the choice between them is purely aesthetic.

Frequently asked questions
Which sticks are compatible with glo Hilo Amber?
glo Hilo Amber uses the new HILO-platform stick geometry — shorter and thicker than HYPER-family Neostiks. Two stick lines are compatible: Virto (tobacco) and Rivo (rooibos, non-tobacco), both featuring StickSeal technology that prevents loose substrate from entering the heating chamber. glo Hilo is NOT compatible with Demi-slim Neostiks (Kent, Neo Demi, Veo) used by older glo HYPER devices, and is not interchangeable with IQOS, lil SOLID, Pulze or Ploom sticks.
How is glo Hilo Amber different from the other gemstone colorways?
All seven gemstone colorways — Amber, Ruby, Onyx, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst and Coral — share identical hardware, TurboStart heating, 76 g single-piece body, 90-minute USB-C charge and Virto/Rivo stick compatibility. The difference is purely chromatic: Amber reads as a bright sunlit orange, the only orange-spectrum option in the lineup. Its closest sibling is glo Hilo Ruby, the deeper saturated red — both warm-tone gemstones, but Amber is more luminous and Ruby is richer. The cooler-tone alternatives glo Hilo Onyx (discreet all-black) and glo Hilo Amethyst (cool purple statement) sit on the opposite half of the palette. Pick Amber if you want the brightest, most luminous warm finish that stands apart from the rest of the gemstone palette.
