About glo Hilo Sapphire
The glo Hilo Sapphire is the bold, jewel-toned blue entry into the official manufacturer’s next-generation HILO platform — a single-piece, all-in-one heat-not-burn device launched in June 2025 to replace the older induction-heated HYPER family. Sapphire is one of seven gemstone-inspired colorways alongside Onyx, Emerald, Amethyst, Amber, Ruby and Coral; internally every HILO unit is identical, so the choice is purely aesthetic. Sapphire is the saturated deep-blue option for buyers who want a colorful but still serious finish — an everyday device that reads as a confident accent rather than a stealth tool.
Inside the body sits the official manufacturer’s TurboStart dual heating system: quartz / resistive heating combined with infrared waves brings a stick to its 370°C target in roughly 5 seconds — among the fastest heat-up times in the heated-tobacco category. The 76 g chassis (roughly half the weight of an IQOS ILUMA Prime) carries an EasyView AMOLED screen, a single control button, USB-C charging, and Bluetooth pairing with the myglo iOS / Android companion app for session customization, usage statistics, remote lock and device locating.
What’s in the box
- glo HILO device (Sapphire colorway)
- USB Type-C charging cable
- Instruction manual / user guide
AC power adaptor is not included.
How to use
- Charge the device fully over USB-C — a full charge takes about 90 minutes and delivers up to 20 sessions.
- Pair with the myglo app (iOS / Android) over Bluetooth to configure session mode, view usage stats and enable remote lock. Pairing is optional — the device works fully standalone via its single button and EasyView display.
- Use: insert a Virto (tobacco) or Rivo (rooibos, non-tobacco) stick, hold the button until the EasyView confirms readiness, then enjoy a Standard 5:10 min session at full TurboStart temperature or switch to Boost mode for a shorter, more intense 4:10 min session.

Frequently asked questions
Which sticks are compatible with glo Hilo Sapphire?
glo Hilo uses the new HILO-platform stick geometry — shorter and thicker than HYPER-family Neostiks. Two stick lines are compatible: Virto (tobacco) and Rivo (rooibos, non-tobacco). Both feature StickSeal technology that prevents loose substrate from entering the heating chamber, so no brush-cleaning routine is required between sessions. The device is NOT compatible with HYPER-family Demi-slim sticks (Kent Neostiks, Neo Demi, Veo) or with legacy glo Nano-format sticks, and not with IQOS, lil SOLID, Pulze or Ploom sticks.
How does Sapphire differ from the other HILO colorways, like Onyx?
All seven HILO colorways — Sapphire, Coral, Emerald, Amethyst, Amber, Ruby and glo Hilo Onyx — share identical internals: the same 76 g body, the same 5-second TurboStart heat-up at 370°C, the same 20 sessions per charge, the same EasyView AMOLED display and the same myglo app pairing. The choice is purely aesthetic. Sapphire is the bold, deep-blue jewel-tone for buyers who want a colorful but still serious accent; glo Hilo Onyx is the deep matte-black, stealth-oriented option for a more discreet, professional look. Pick the colorway that matches your everyday-carry style — performance is identical.
