Blends is the tobacco range the official manufacturer built for BONDS by IQOS, and it sits at the practical end of the heated line-up rather than the flagship end — a compact heater, nothing to clean between sticks, and a stick built to taste of tobacco and little else. Real leaf, heated and never burned, across a session of about five minutes with no puff limit. Europe carries four color-coded variants under the Classics label, running from the fullest and most toasted to the single cooling stick in the set. Classics names the line here rather than one flavor character, which is why it covers the tobacco variants and the peppermint one alike.

About Blends
BONDS by IQOS does not push anything into the stick. The chamber closes around it and heats it from the outside, around its full circumference, which is why a Blends stick carries no metal part inside it and is closed at both ends with an acetate filter plug. Nothing enters the stick, so nothing is left in the heater to clean out afterwards — the practical half of the argument, next to the tobacco itself. Sticks come twenty to a pack, and a session runs about five minutes with no puff limit. BONDS takes two stick lines in all: Blends, made with real leaf, and Beyond, which has no tobacco leaf in it at all. Blends is the tobacco half of that pair and remains listed across European markets.
Lineup
- Red Classics — the fullest of the four. Dark and toasted, with a malty weight behind the tobacco that holds through the whole session.
- Gold Classics — warm rather than heavy. The tobacco is rounder than Red’s and carries a spiced edge that keeps it from reading as sweet.
- Silver Classics — the mildest in the set. A soft, even tobacco with a light grape note sitting behind it rather than on top of it.
- Green Classics — the only cooling stick in the European four. Peppermint over the tobacco base, with no capsule to click: the cooling is built into the stick and stays level from the first draw to the last.
Compatibility
Blends fits BONDS by IQOS and no other heater, and the reason is physical rather than commercial. A blade heater — IQOS Originals, IQOS 3 DUO, lil SOLID — works by sliding into a stick that is open at one end, and a Blends stick is sealed there with an acetate plug, so the blade would press into the plug and melt it, ruining the stick and the heater with it. IQOS ILUMA takes the opposite approach and warms a metal element seated inside the stick by induction; a Blends stick has no such element, so an ILUMA finds nothing to work with. glo and Ploom run formats of their own. Nothing about this shifts from one market or firmware version to the next.

What are Blends sticks?

What is the difference between Blends and Beyond?
Both are built for the same BONDS by IQOS heater and share the same sealed stick body, so the device takes either one. Blends is made with real tobacco leaf and tastes of it. Beyond has no tobacco leaf in it — it is a flavor-led stick that still carries nicotine — and two of its three variants add a click capsule.
How long does one Blends stick last?
About five minutes, with no limit on the number of draws inside that window. Because the heat arrives from outside the stick, there is nothing to brush out of the chamber before the next one goes in.
