Evo is the heated tobacco stick line the official manufacturer builds for the Ploom platform — Ploom AURA, Ploom X Advanced and Ploom X, and nothing else. Every stick holds ActivBlend tobacco: micro-ground and fine-cut Virginia, Burley and Oriental leaf, warmed inside a surrounding chamber instead of being pierced by a blade, so the taste holds its line from the first draw to the last. Variant names are colours rather than flavours, and the colour is the strength marker — warm metal and earth tones climb through the tobacco family, blue-green tones mark the cooling side. Evo is the tobacco half of the Ploom range, sold side by side with the non-tobacco Lyo sticks rather than in place of them.

About Evo
Evo is the consumable half of the Ploom system: a stick format made for one platform and sold for no other. The filler is ActivBlend — micro-ground plus fine-cut Virginia, Burley and Oriental leaf with added tobacco lamina — cut by an OptiCut process aimed at a steady, even draw. Ploom’s HeatFlow heating warms the stick in a chamber around it rather than piercing it, and Ploom AURA’s Smart HeatFlow adds tighter temperature control on top of that. The blend is tuned for those lower, even temperatures, which is why the sticks are matched to Ploom hardware and to nothing else. Current production carries a CleanSeal base that keeps loose tobacco out of the device chamber. Heated, never burned, in packs of 20 sticks.
Lineup
The colour on the pack is an intensity marker, not a flavour name. Two palettes run through the range stocked here:
- Tobacco — warm metal and earth tones. Straight ActivBlend with no cooling layer. Gold is the mildest, aromatic wood over a dry tea note; Silver and Yellow sit just above it; Amber holds the middle with a nutty, woody character; Tan and Burgundy are level with each other, Tan running to coffee and caramel, Burgundy richer and sweet-nutty; Bronze is the fullest, intense and toasted.
- Cooling — blue-green tones. Aquamarine is the lightest, a faint fresh lift over smooth tobacco; Teal sits in the middle, tobacco-led with cool notes drawn through it; Azure is the most cooling of the three stocked here, a clear menthol and mint character over a milder body. Azure is not the coldest Evo made — the wider range holds stronger menthols this catalogue does not carry.
Compatibility
Evo sticks fit Ploom AURA, Ploom X Advanced and Ploom X, which share the same chamber-heating format. They do not fit IQOS Originals or IQOS ILUMA, glo, lil or Pulze: those systems pierce the stick with a blade, heat an element inside it, or use an altogether different stick format. Sticks cannot be swapped between platforms in either direction.

What is the difference between Evo and Lyo?
Both are sticks for the same Ploom devices, sold side by side, and neither one replaces the other. Evo holds real tobacco leaf. Lyo holds none at all — its rod is built from a processed star-anise base — but it does carry nicotine, so the two differ in the tobacco, not in the nicotine.
