About Lyo Arctic Mint
Lyo Arctic Mint is a zero-tobacco nicotine stick built for Ploom devices and the coldest variant in the Lyo range. It arrived as half of the Menthol pair that has opened every Lyo market so far, alongside Wild Berry. The rod is a plant-based star-anise substrate carrying nicotine and aroma, with an Aroma Boost capsule in the filter.
What to expect
The chill lands on the first draw and stays: peppermint in front, menthol beneath it, with no sweet or fruity layer building up behind. Click the capsule whenever you want more and the same mint turns sharper and colder for the rest of the stick. A faint sweetness at the tip keeps the finish from biting. Made for anyone who wants cooling to lead and to set the intensity mid-stick.
How Lyo Arctic Mint compares to other variants
Arctic Mint sits at the cold end of the range. Against Lyo Wild Berry it is sharper and colder, with no fruit behind the mint, where Wild Berry lays ripe blackberry and raspberry over a milder chill. Lyo Winter Apple keeps its cooling gentlest of the four and lets juicy orchard apple carry the draw, while Lyo Zesty Pear is the most flavour-intense of the range, bright pear leading over a cooling layer that still runs underneath — every Lyo variant carries one. Pick Arctic Mint when you want the coldest, most direct peppermint in the range; pick Wild Berry for fruit with your chill, Zesty Pear for the boldest fruit, and Winter Apple if you prefer sweet apple over a softer cool.
Frequently asked questions
Which devices is Lyo Arctic Mint compatible with?
Lyo Arctic Mint is made for the Ploom platform: Ploom AURA, Ploom X Advanced, Ploom X. All three heat the stick in the same chamber system it was built around. It does not work in IQOS, glo, lil or Pulze devices, which heat on a different principle.
How does Lyo Arctic Mint taste compared to Lyo Wild Berry?
Arctic Mint is the sharper, colder half of the pair: peppermint and icy menthol with no fruit behind them, while Lyo Wild Berry lays ripe blackberry and raspberry over a milder chill. Pick Arctic Mint when you want the coldest, most direct peppermint in the range; pick Wild Berry when you want fruit with your chill.
Does Lyo Arctic Mint contain tobacco or nicotine?
It contains no tobacco leaf: the rod is a plant substrate processed from star anise, carrying nicotine and aroma instead. Nicotine is still present, at around 0.5-0.6 mg per stick in the released aerosol, so the absence of tobacco is not the absence of nicotine. It is heated rather than burned inside a Ploom device and leaves no ash.
