Terea is the next-generation heated tobacco stick line from Philip Morris International, engineered exclusively for the IQOS ILUMA platform. Each stick uses the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM — a metal element embedded inside the tobacco that heats from within, eliminating the external blade, residue and cleaning routine of the previous HEETS generation. The Terea range covers Originals, Menthol, Aromatic / Wave, click-capsule Pearls and the premium Dimensions sub-line, giving ILUMA users a full spectrum of tobacco-forward, cooling and flavor-burst profiles in one ecosystem.

About Terea

Terea is Philip Morris International’s flagship heated tobacco stick line, built around the SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM. Instead of being heated by a blade inserted into the stick, each Terea unit contains a small metal susceptor embedded in the tobacco itself; the IQOS ILUMA device heats this element by induction, so the tobacco is warmed evenly from the inside. The result is a cleaner draw, no broken blades and no need to clean the device between sessions. Sticks are heated, not combusted, and packed in 20-stick packs (or cartons of 10 packs).

Lineup

  • Originals — tobacco-forward, non-menthol blends amplifying nuts, malt, wood, tea and toasted notes. Core SKUs include Yellow, Amber, Teak, Sienna, Russet, Silver and Bronze.
  • Menthol — menthol-overtone blends in varying intensity, from the subtle Turquoise to the balanced Green and the bold-cool Blue. No click capsule.
  • Aromatic / Wave — fruit, berry, floral and menthol-fruit fusion blends. The Wave sub-line is built around a flavor burst (some variants click-capsule, some pre-flavored). Examples: Mauve Wave, Purple Wave, Summer Wave.
  • Pearls — click-to-activate capsule sticks delivering a fresh flavor burst on demand. Examples: Amelia Pearl, Starling Pearl, Abora Pearl, Twilight Pearl, Riviera Pearl, Provence Pearl.

Compatibility

Terea sticks work exclusively with the IQOS ILUMA platform: ILUMA, ILUMA Prime, ILUMA One and the second-generation ILUMA i, ILUMA i Prime and ILUMA i One. They are not compatible with blade-based IQOS Originals devices such as the 3 DUO or 2.4 Plus — those use HEETS instead. Because the heating element lives inside the stick, ILUMA devices have no blade to break, bend or clean.
